Princess Estelle’s Christening- Ceremony

Today, Princess Estelle of Sweden was christened. Princess Estelle is the first born child of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden. She will one day be the Queen of Sweden.

The Princess was christened Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary, and her godparents were as followed:

  • Crown Princess Mary of Denmark
  • Anna Westling Söderström (Prince Daniel’s sister)
  • Prince Carl Philip of Sweden
  • Prince Willem- Alexander, the Prince of Orange
  • Crown Prince Haakon of Norway

The royal attendees (besides Vic, Dan and Estelle) were King Carl Gustav of Sweden, Queen Silvia of Sweden, Princess Madeleine of Sweden, Prince Carl Philip of Sweden, Princess Birgitta of Sweden, Princess Margaretha of Sweden, Princess Désirée of Sweden, Princess Christina of Sweden, Tord Magnuson, Queen Margrethe of Denmark, Prince Henrik of Denmark, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, the Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg, Countess Stéphanie de Lannoy (fiancée to Guillaume), Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, Princess Maxima of the Netherlands, Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, Princess Martha Louise of Norway, Ari Behn, Prince Philippe of Belgium and Princess Mathilde of Belgium. Also in attendance (and slightly less royal) were Sofia Hellqvist (the girlfriend of Prince Carl Philip) and Chris O’Neill (the boyfriend of Princess Madeleine).
