Today, Prince Nikolai of Denmark celebrates his 13th birthday. Nikolai is the elder son of Prince Joachim of Denmark and his ex-wife Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg. He was born on August 28th, 1999, at Rigshospitalet (the Copenhagen University Hospital). Nikolai was christened Nikolai William Alexander Frederik. His godparents are Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, the Earl of Wessex, Peter Streentrup, Nicola Baird and Camilla Flint.
